Agence France-Presse - 26 October, 2006Tunisia closed its embassy in Doha in protest at what it called a "hostile campaign" against it by the Qatar-based satellite channel Al-Jazeera, the Tunisian foreign ministry said.
"Tunisia has decided to end its diplomatic representation in Qatar and close its embassy in Doha, despite the esteem and respect in which it holds this brother country," the ministry said.
