Al Jazeera offices ransacked

The offices of Al Jazeerah satellite TV in Cairo were ransacked yesterday by the Egyptian Secret Service. The action, in which laptops were stolen, is widely regarded as an attempt to put greater pressure on journalists working for the Al Jazeerah channel. The Egyptian state security services regard Al Jazeera as supporting the pro democracy demonstrations.
