Moroccan magazine, Nishane was forced to close in October 2010 after an advertising boycott led by the Royal family after the magazine published unapproved opinion polls on the Royal family and articles on popular street jokes.
The magazine has consistently been targeted by the Moroccan athorities because of its content, which often concerns taboo subjects in Moroccan society. In previous incidences, the magazine was suspended for two months and in another case, 100,000 copies were destroyed by the police.
