BSkyB unanimously backs Murdoch as chairman

In July 2011, the BSkyB board voted unanimously to re-elect James Murdoch as its chairman after the recent phone hacking scandal surrounding News Corporation. This decision comes after there were calls for his resignation from MP’s, shareholder groups and industry figures. Serious questions over the credibility of SKY in supporting this decision need to be examined. For the time being, BSkyB is operating under the principles “innocent until proven guilty”.
